Toby began quilting in 1985 and has not looked back. What started out as a hobby has turned into a full time job. She designs and makes quilts for many of the major fabric companies and quilt magazines. Her lectures include: “Curves are not a Dirty Word!”;  “So you want to see your quilt in print” (a history of Toby‘s quilting  career in print); “The wonders of EQ7”; “Making miniatures, not harder, just smaller”; and “Using mirrors to enhance and add variety to your quilt blocks”. Toby teaches a variety of workshops for the beginner to advanced quilter including precision piecing, miniatures, paper piecing, curved piecing, "y" seams, eight point stars, and fussy cutting (using fabrics in unique ways). She enjoys inspiring quilters to create their own designs, using her techniques and designs as a stepping-off point.   Her lectures and trunk shows are both entertaining and informative. All of her lectures include lots of quilts!
Her patterns are available on her website http://www.gatewayquiltsnstuff.com along with fabrics, notions, her template sets, and two books, St. Louis Stars and her newest book Kaleidostars. She has a new online class through AQS and iQuilt called Kaleidostars based on her new book. You can sign up and see it here: http://www.iquilt.com/lischko001. See her website for class samples, fees, and more information regarding her workshops. Contact Toby for schedule availability. (Updated 5/16)

Teajuana's quilting style is varied, as she loves new techniques.  Her quilt making has turned toward scrap quilts, quilts with unique piecing techniques or “twists”, and the incorporating of embellishments into finished projects.  She has made over 500 quilted items; you may see some of her quilts by visiting her websites. She has won various awards from local guild quilt shows.  In addition, her work has been accepted in the AQS Quilt Exposition in Nashville, TN and AQS in Paducah Kentucky.
Teajuana is available to give lectures, trunk shows, and/or classes.  The cost of travel, lodging and meals are the responsibility of the guild or organization scheduling the event.  Due to actual quilts being shown in the trunk shows, I prefer to drive anywhere within 300 miles.  In that case, travel cost will be at the IRS mileage rate.  In addition to lectures and workshops, Teajuana also provides long arm quilting services.
